Praising Students

We all had that one student (at least) in class who is bright and can easily do all the work, but they’re just too lazy or too careless to do a thing. As a teacher, it could be frustrating to see a good student waste their talent and underestimate how far they can go with what they already have. One way to push these students back to hard work is to give them meaningful positive reinforcement when they, unexpectedly, perform well.
